- For Executives
- You practice Saying who it's for
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write a summary for Carla Reyes, VP of People, in plain text, under 120 words. Use three labeled lines: Themes:, Evidence:, Next step:. Evidence must give the counts from the notes. Do not quote or identify any individual, and do not guess causes. Next step is one suggested conversation to hold, not a decision. HR reviews before it goes to Carla.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Naming people. The AI includes the Ravi comment or the supervisor. Try: Say: "Do not quote or identify any individual."
- No counts. The AI says 'many employees' without numbers. Try: Say: "Evidence must give the counts from the notes."
- Missing labels. The AI writes prose with its own headings. Try: Say: "Three lines labeled Themes:, Evidence:, Next step:."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
- Markdown. The AI bolds words or adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
