Choose two SKUs for the golden zone using pick rate and a weight limit

- Time about 5 minutes

About this exercise
Write a prompt for plain text with exactly four lines: "Slot 1:", "Slot 2:", "Skipped:" and "Approver:". The golden zone has two slots. Rank by picks per week, but anything over 50 lb cannot go in the golden zone. Each slot line shows the SKU, picks per week and weight. The Skipped line names the SKU that ranked in the top two but was excluded, and why. The Approver line says who approves the move. Under 80 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Ignoring the weight limit. The AI follows the picker and slots B-220. Try: Say: "Skip anything over 50 lb."
- Skipped line unexplained. The AI leaves B-220 out without saying why. Try: Say: "Skipped: the SKU excluded, with its weight and the limit."
- Wrong lines. The AI writes a ranking table. Try: Quote the four labels.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold, headings and bullets by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Quotes the four labels
- States the weight rule
- Ranks by picks
- Names the approver
- Asks for plain text
