About this exercise
Using the dates in the notes, write a summary for hiring manager Naomi Black in plain text with three labeled lines: Days open:, Stage gaps:, Longest gap:. Days open: counts calendar days from opening to the offer acceptance date, showing the math. Stage gaps: lists days between each stage in order as "A to B: N days". Longest gap: names the stage pair with the largest number. Use only the dates given. Do not comment on any candidate or the recruiter.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Date math. The AI miscounts across months. Try: Say: "September has 30 days, October has 31. Show the math."
- Blaming. The AI says the manager was slow. Try: Say: "Do not comment on any person."
- Labels. The AI writes paragraphs. Try: Say: "Three lines labeled Days open:, Stage gaps:, Longest gap:."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
- Markdown. The AI bolds words or adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
