Turn a call scorecard into a coaching note with one drill
- For Managers and team leads
- You practice Getting the tone right
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write a coaching note to the rep from the call scorecard in plain text, under 110 words, with exactly four labeled lines: Keep:, Change 1:, Change 2:, Try this week:. Each Change cites a number from the scorecard. Try this week gives one drill with a date. Do not use the words always or never, and do not compare the rep to others or comment on personality.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Repeating the manager's digs. The AI keeps 'too much talking' judgments and comparisons. Try: Add: "No comparisons to others, no personality comments."
- Vague feedback. The AI says 'ask more questions'. Try: Add: "Each Change cites a number from the scorecard."
- No drill or date. The AI ends with encouragement. Try: Add: "Try this week: one drill with a date."
- Wrong format. The AI writes headings and bold. Try: Add: "Four labeled lines, plain text, under 110 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Lists the four labels
- Requires numbers
- Adds a drill with a date
- Bans comparisons
