About this exercise
Flag deals that need a pipeline-review question. A deal is flagged if it has been pushed 3 or more times, or its close date is after Dec 31, 2026 (quarter end). Show only flagged deals in a markdown table with columns Deal, Amount, Pushes, Close date, Why flagged, sorted by amount from largest to smallest. Add one last line: "Flagged total: $[sum] across [count] deals". Use the corrected push counts. Under 110 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the raw push count. The AI misses the footnote and leaves Fernhill unflagged. Try: Add: "Use the corrected push counts from the footnotes."
- Listing every deal. The AI shows all eight deals with a flag column. Try: Add: "Show only flagged deals."
- Missing quarter-end flag. The AI flags only the push counts and misses January dates. Try: Add: "Also flag any close date after Dec 31, 2026."
- Wrong total or extra text. The AI adds commentary and mis-sums the amounts. Try: Add: "Last line exactly: Flagged total: $[sum] across [count] deals. Under 110 words."
What a strong prompt includes
