- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Explain the change in Commit from last week to this week in exactly 4 numbered lines: 1. Start, 2. Up, 3. Down, 4. End. Show the math in lines 2 to 4, like "2. Up: +100 + 20 = +120". Count only deals whose Commit amount or category changed, and leave out deals that were never in Commit. Amounts are in $K. Plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Including non-Commit changes. The AI adds Hadley's 60 and Everline's 25. Try: Add: "Leave out deals never in Commit."
- Missing a mover. The AI forgets the Quill move to Best Case. Try: Add: "Count every deal whose category or amount changed in Commit."
- No math. The AI writes a narrative. Try: Add: "Show the math in lines 2 to 4."
- Wrong structure. The AI writes a table and paragraphs. Try: Add: "Exactly 4 numbered lines, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
- Lists the four lines
- Asks for the math
