Email Finance about two slipped deals with the total
- For Revenue operations
- You practice Saying who it's for
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write an email to the Finance controller about deals that slipped out of Q4. Plain text under 90 words, subject line first, starting "Hi Corin,". List each deal as a dash bullet "Deal - $amount - new month", show the total as a sum, and state that these are forecast changes, not lost deals. Don't speculate about why they slipped and don't promise they will close in the new month.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Including Granite Co. The AI lists a deal that stayed in Q4. Try: Add: "Only deals that moved out of the quarter."
- Giving reasons or promises. The AI explains legal queues and budgets. Try: Add: "No reasons, probabilities or promises."
- Missing the sum. The AI states the total only. Try: Add: "Show the sum 120,000 + 75,000 = $195,000."
- Long email. The AI writes a long formatted email. Try: Add: "Plain text under 90 words."
