About this exercise
Write a 3-line readout for the CRO in plain text starting Trend:, Biggest change:, Caution:. Trend states the direction and the endpoints. Biggest change names the two quarters and the point change as a subtraction. Caution says the current quarter is partial and that the data does not show a cause. Use only the table. Each line under 24 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Claiming a cause. The AI says discounts are up because of the competitor. Try: Add: "State that the data does not show a cause."
- Wrong biggest change. The AI picks Q4 2025 to Q1 2026 or compares to the partial quarter. Try: Add: "Biggest change is the largest quarter-over-quarter point change; show the subtraction."
- Missing the partial-quarter warning. The AI treats 12.0% as final. Try: Add: "Caution mentions Q4 is partial."
- Long text. The AI writes paragraphs with bold. Try: Add: "3 labeled lines, plain text, each under 24 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Lists the labels
- Asks for endpoints
- Asks for the subtraction
- Requires the caution
