About this exercise
Compare each manager's submitted commit with the sum of their reps' commits. Write a markdown table of managers whose numbers do not match, with columns Manager, Reps sum, Submitted, Difference, writing amounts as plain whole numbers (no $ or commas) and the difference with a sign (like +15000). Add one last line starting "Totals:" that compares the company total of rep sums with the company total submitted. Under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Listing matching managers. The AI shows all four managers. Try: Add: "Show only managers whose numbers do not match."
- Missing the offsetting error. The AI says totals match so no issue. Try: Add: "Last line: compare the company totals and note that matching totals can hide offsetting differences."
- Dollar signs and commas. The AI writes $165,000 and an unsigned difference. Try: Add: "Plain whole numbers, no $ or commas; difference with a sign like +15000."
- Extra commentary. The AI writes recommendations. Try: Add: "Table plus the Totals line only, under 90 words."
