Reconcile two stage definitions by flagging conflicts, not deciding
- For Revenue operations
- You practice Catching mistakes and made-up facts
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Advanced
About this exercise
Two documents define Stage 2 differently. Write plain text with exactly two parts. Part 1 is a line "Agreed:" listing only what both documents say. Part 2 is the heading "Conflicts for Bianca to decide:" followed by exactly 3 numbered conflicts, each naming both documents' wording briefly (like "Sales Playbook: X; CRM Guide: Y"). Do not pick a winner or propose a definition. Under 140 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Picking a winner. The AI recommends using the newer CRM guide. Try: Add: "Do not pick a winner or propose a definition."
- Listing disagreements as agreed. The AI puts probability or time limits under Agreed. Try: Add: "Agreed lists only what both documents say."
- Vague conflicts. The AI writes 'definitions differ'. Try: Add: "Each conflict states both documents' wording."
- Wrong format. The AI writes tables and long text. Try: Add: "Plain text, exactly 3 numbered conflicts."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets Agreed
- Sets the heading
- Fixes 3 numbered conflicts
- Quotes both sources
- Bans recommendations
