About this exercise

You're assigning 2026 territories to three reps: Ana, Ben and Carlos, two territories each, as close to equal total potential as you can. Ana keeps the Northeast and Carlos keeps Texas, because they already own those relationships. Make a table with columns Rep, Territories and Potential math (like "900 + 400 = $1,300k"), then one line that starts "Recommendation:". Use the latest potential figures, under 120 words.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Missing the footnote. The AI uses the table value for Southwest and misses Grace's update below it. Try: Add: "Use the Nov 9 footnote: Southwest is 400."
  • Not stating the fixed picks. The AI shuffles everyone, moving Ana off the Northeast. Try: Add: "Ana keeps Northeast and Carlos keeps Texas."
  • Hiding the math. The AI gives totals with no working, so you can't check the balance. Try: Add: "Show the sum in each row, like 900 + 400 = $1,300k."
  • Planning for people not in scope. The AI fits the new rep in because she's in the notes. Try: Add: "Three reps only: Ana, Ben, Carlos. End with one Recommendation: line."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and adds a paragraph of rationale. Try: Cap it: "table plus one Recommendation line under 25 words, nothing else."
