About this exercise
Make a markdown table with columns Segment | Won | Lost | Win rate, one row per segment plus a last row named Overall. Win rate is won divided by (won plus lost), as a whole-number percent. Open deals are not counted. Use the table's own counts, not the rep's claim. Under 90 words, plain text with no bold anywhere, and nothing after the table except a final line starting "Note:" of one sentence.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Counting open deals as losses. The AI divides by all opportunities. Try: Add: "Win rate = won / (won + lost); exclude open deals."
- Using the rep's claim. The AI repeats the 22%. Try: Add: "Use the table's counts, not the Slack claim."
- Bold totals and extra text. The AI bolds the Overall row and adds analysis. Try: Add: "No bold anywhere; only the table and one Note: line."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the columns
- Defines win rate
- Adds an Overall row
- Ends with a Note line
- Bans bold
