About this exercise
Two dashboards report different Q3 win rates and the CRO is asking which is right. Write exactly four plain-text lines starting Report A:, Report B:, Why they differ:, Recommendation:. Show the division in the first two lines. Do not call either report wrong. The Recommendation must pick one report for the board deck and say to label its denominator. Under 100 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Calling one report wrong. The AI declares a winner and says the other is an error. Try: Add: "Do not call either report wrong; both are correct for their definitions."
- Skipping the arithmetic. The AI quotes percentages without the division. Try: Add: "Show the division in the first two lines."
- Picking on preference. The AI sides with leadership instead of the like-for-like comparison. Try: Add: "Pick the report that matches last year's definition for the board deck."
- Extra explanation. The AI adds a long essay on win-rate metrics. Try: Add: "Four plain-text lines, under 100 words."
What a strong prompt includes
