About this exercise

Write the final email in a follow-up sequence to a prospect who has gone quiet after two emails. It is polite, takes the blame off the buyer, contains no guilt trip, and offers to reopen the conversation in January. Under 45 words, plain text, and it ends with a yes-or-no question. Start with "Subject: Closing the loop" and sign off "Elena".

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Guilt-trip language. The AI writes "I haven't heard back from you." Try: Add: "No guilt, no counting emails, take the blame off the buyer."
  • Surveillance and discounts. The AI mentions the video views or adds a deal. Try: Add: "Do not mention video views or a discount."
  • Too long. The AI writes a 100-word email. Try: Add: "Under 45 words, plain text."
  • Wrong subject or sign-off. The AI invents its own subject. Try: Add: "First line exactly Subject: Closing the loop, sign off Elena."

What a strong prompt includes

  • Sets the subject line
  • Names the January offer
  • Bans guilt
  • Ends with yes/no question
  • Limits length
