About this exercise
Write an email summary your champion Rhea can forward to her CFO as-is. It has 4 plain-text lines labeled Why now:, What we get:, Cost:, Decision needed:. Write it in Rhea's voice (first person, "we"), no sales language, and no mention of discounts being negotiable. Use the final quote total, not the earlier one. Under 100 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the first quote. The AI uses $52,000 from Oct 15. Try: Add: "Use the final quote of Nov 2."
- Leaking the discount. The AI adds 'there may be room to negotiate'. Try: Add: "Do not mention discounts or negotiation."
- Sales voice. The AI writes 'we're excited to partner'. Try: Add: "Rhea's voice, plain business language, no sales language."
- Format and length. The AI adds headings and bold. Try: Add: "Four plain-text lines, under 100 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Lists the four labels
- Sets the voice
- Uses the final quote
- Bans discount talk
- Limits length
