About this exercise
Write a handoff note for the onboarding lead with exactly three plain-text headings on their own lines: In the contract, Said on calls (not in writing), Not promised. Under each, list items as lines starting with a dash. Put an item under In the contract only if the order form says it. Everything the rep said but is not in the order form goes under the second heading. Under 160 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Merging promises and talk. The AI lists everything as commitments. Try: Add: "Put an item under In the contract only if the order form says it."
- Deciding for the lead. The AI says "we should honor the free migration." Try: Add: "Do not recommend whether to honor verbal comments."
- Wrong structure. The AI writes a narrative with bold. Try: Add: "Exactly three headings on their own lines, items start with a dash."
- Too long. The AI explains each item. Try: Add: "Each item under 12 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the three headings
- Defines the contract rule
- Starts items with dashes
- Avoids deciding
- Limits length
