About this exercise
Write a follow-up email to a client who has not replied to your proposal for 7 days. Plain text under 95 words, subject line first. Add one new piece of useful information from the notes, restate the proposal's start date, and end with a yes-or-no question about whether to keep the slot. Do not say "just following up", "I haven't heard back", or make the client feel guilty.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Stock follow-up lines. The AI writes 'just following up' or 'haven't heard back'. Try: Add: "Avoid just following up and haven't heard back."
- No new value. The AI repeats the proposal. Try: Add: "Add one new piece of information from the notes."
- Inventing urgency. The AI says 'prices go up Friday'. Try: Add: "Only mention real constraints from the notes."
- Long and formatted. The AI writes long paragraphs. Try: Add: "Plain text under 80 words, subject first."
