Script the first 90 seconds of a demo around the buyer's stated goal
- For Sales and customer success
- You practice Saying who it's for
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write a 3-beat spoken opening for a demo in plain text under 70 words, as lines starting Recap:, Plan:, Check:. Recap uses the buyer's own stated goal from the notes in one sentence. Plan says exactly which two features you will show (the two the buyer asked for) and the demo length. Check asks whether the goal is still right. Do not mention features the buyer did not ask for, pricing, or other customers.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Showing every feature. The AI previews the full product. Try: Add: "Name only the two features she asked for."
- Using the old demo length. The AI says 45 minutes. Try: Add: "The demo is 30 minutes."
- Skipping the check question. The AI ends with 'let's begin'. Try: Add: "Check asks whether the goal is still right."
- Wrong shape. The AI writes a long monologue. Try: Add: "Three labeled lines under 70 words, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
- Lists the three labels
- Uses her own goal
- Names two features
- Asks a check question
- Bans extras
