About this exercise

You just demoed to Joanna Pike at Redfern Veterinary and need to send her a recap. Under 120 words, starting "Hi Joanna,". List the next steps with an owner and date for each, using the corrected pilot start date. Leave out your internal notes: the pricing floor and your thoughts about her boss. Plain text, with no subject line and no bullets beyond the next steps.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Leaking internal notes. The AI uses everything in your notes, including the pricing floor and your read on her boss. Try: Say: "Leave out everything marked internal: pricing, competitor quote, comments about Dr. Amari."
  • Missing the date change. The AI may keep Dec 1 because it's listed first. Try: Add: "The pilot now starts Dec 8."
  • Next steps without owners. The AI writes "we'll send pricing" with no name or date, so nobody owns it. Try: Add: "Each next step names an owner and a date."
  • A generic greeting. The AI often opens with "Dear Joanna" or "Hello" plus a pleasantry. Try: Add: "Start with: Hi Joanna,"
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and runs long when you only give a total like 120 words. Try: Cap each part instead, like "each next step under 15 words," so the total lands well under 120.
