- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write a handoff summary for the solutions engineer, Yusuf, as exactly 3 dash bullets in plain text: the customer's problem in their words, the one technical question to answer, and the date of the next call. Each bullet starts with a label (Problem:, Question:, Next call:) and is under 20 words. Don't include pricing, the rep's opinions, or small talk.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Including pricing or opinions. The AI adds $8,400 or 'price sensitive'. Try: Add: "No pricing, opinions or small talk."
- Paraphrasing the problem. The AI uses marketing language. Try: Add: "Use the customer's words."
- Splitting the question. The AI writes two questions. Try: Add: "One technical question covering both parts."
- Wrong format. The AI writes a paragraph. Try: Add: "Exactly 3 labeled dash bullets under 20 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Lists the three labels
- Uses the customer's words
- One technical question
- Bans extras
- Limits length
