About this exercise
Compare the three term options for Crestview Hospitality over 3 years. Write a markdown table with columns Option, Year prices, 3-year total, Average per year. Then two lines: "Floor check:" saying which options are at or above the $100,000 per year average floor, and "Recommendation:" naming the option at or above the floor with the lowest 3-year cost to the buyer. Option C is below the floor and needs manager approval; say so, and do not recommend it. Under 140 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Recommending the cheapest. The AI picks C because the buyer pays least. Try: Add: "Recommend the lowest-cost option at or above the floor; C needs approval and is not recommended."
- Wrong totals. The AI forgets the 6% increases or Year 3 renewal at list. Try: Add: "Year 3 of Option B is $134,832; show each year's price."
- Promising approval. The AI says the manager will likely approve C. Try: Add: "Do not promise approvals."
- Extra text. The AI adds negotiation tips. Try: Add: "Table plus the two lines, under 140 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the columns
- States the floor
- Sets the pick rule
- Flags approval
- Table plus two lines
