Summarize renewal risk for a VP who has a minute
- For Sales and customer success
- You practice Saying who it's for
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Renata, your VP of Sales, will read this between meetings. Write plain-text lines labeled exactly Risk:, Evidence:, Ask: in under 90 words. Evidence must include only confirmed facts; anything unconfirmed goes in Risk, marked as unconfirmed. The Ask is a single request: an executive call with Kestrel's COO.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Treating the rumor as fact. The AI says Kestrel is evaluating a competitor. Try: Add: "Anything unconfirmed goes in Risk, marked unconfirmed, never in Evidence."
- Wrong structure. The AI writes bullets and paragraphs for a busy reader. Try: Add: "Exactly three plain-text lines labeled Risk:, Evidence:, Ask:."
- Several asks. The AI lists a handful of next steps. Try: Add: "The Ask is one request: an executive call with the COO."
- Too long for a VP. The AI explains everything it found. Try: Add: "Under 90 words; Risk under 25 words, Evidence under 30."
What a strong prompt includes
