- For Sales and customer success
- You practice Saying who it's for
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write a coaching note to Dee Marchetti, an AE you manage, from her call stats. Use exactly three plain-text lines: Talk ratio: (show the division and compare to the current team target), Keep: (one thing she did well, using a stat), Try: (one change for her next call with a number she can hit). Under 80 words, no criticism of Dee as a person.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old target. The AI compares to 70 percent and says she's fine. Try: Add: "Compare to the current target: under 55 percent."
- Several changes. The AI lists four improvements. Try: Add: "Try: one change with a number."
- No stat in Keep. The AI praises her in general terms. Try: Add: "Keep: one thing she did well, backed by a stat from the call."
- Wrong structure. The AI writes a paragraph or bullets. Try: Add: "Exactly three plain-text lines: Talk ratio:, Keep:, Try:."
- Too long. The AI writes a full review. Try: Add: "Under 80 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the three lines
- Shows the division
- Uses the current target
- Asks for a measurable change
