About this exercise
From the call transcript, write two plain-text sections with these exact headings on their own lines: We promised and Discussed only. Under each, dash bullets. We promised lists only things our rep said they would do (with a date if given). Discussed only lists ideas, maybes and questions without a commitment. Do not include anything the buyer promised. Under 100 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Treating maybes as promises. The AI lists the phased rollout as promised. Try: Add: "Only things the rep said he would do."
- Including buyer commitments. The AI adds Dev's questionnaire. Try: Add: "Do not include anything the buyer promised."
- Missing dates. The AI writes 'Wednesday'. Try: Add: "Use real dates where given."
- Wrong structure. The AI adds bold and a summary. Try: Add: "Two exact headings with dash bullets, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
- Uses the exact headings
- Defines promised
- Defines discussed only
