Write two webinar follow-ups: one for attendees, one for no-shows
- For Sales and customer success
- You practice Saying who it's for
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write two follow-up emails for a webinar, labeled "Attended:" and "Did not attend:". Each is plain text, under 45 words, with its own subject line. The attendee version refers to the topic discussed in Q&A; the no-show version offers the recording using the placeholder [recording link]. Neither may claim results or mention that someone "missed" the event. Use only the details in the notes.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Same email twice. The AI writes near-identical versions. Try: Add: "The attendee version refers to the Q&A; the other offers the recording."
- Guilt wording. The AI writes 'sorry you missed it'. Try: Add: "Don't say missed or comment on absence."
- Results claims. The AI adds time-savings figures. Try: Add: "No results claims."
- Missing labels or subjects. The AI merges the emails. Try: Add: "Label Attended: and Did not attend:, each with Subject:."
What a strong prompt includes
- Uses the two labels
- Adds subject lines
- Uses the placeholder
- Bans results and guilt
- Limits length
