Score your AP Bio practice answer against the scoring guide
Practice: Showing an example of what you want. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You wrote a practice AP Biology free-response answer and want to self-score it before class. Get exactly 3 numbered lines, one per scoring point, each labeled exactly Earned or Not earned, plus the few words from your answer that earned it or 'none', plain text. Judge only by the scoring guide and don't write a model answer.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking for a grade. The AI gives a score and then writes the perfect answer, so you read it instead of finding your gaps. Try: Say: "Don't write a model answer. Just label each point."
- Not giving exact labels. Without fixed labels, the AI gives partial credit or hedges. Try: Say: "Label each point exactly Earned or Not earned."
- Letting the AI be generous. The AI may accept 'it dies' as close enough, but the guide says it isn't. Try: Add: "Judge only by the scoring guide."
- Not saying how many lines. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more lines than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 3 numbered lines."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Fix the shape: "label, then the earning words in quotes, nothing else."
- Forgetting where it will be read. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols in your notes. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
