Practice deciding which level of government handles an issue
Practice: Showing an example of what you want. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your Civics test asks which level of government you'd contact about a problem. Get exactly 5 numbered scenarios, then an 'Answers' line labeling each exactly Local, State or Federal, under 110 words total, plain text. Use each label at least once, use only the responsibilities in your notes, and follow Ms. Brandt's correction about driver's licenses.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not saying how many scenarios. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more scenarios than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 5 numbered scenarios."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each scenario: "each under 18 words."
- Not giving exact labels. The AI explains each answer instead of using the three labels. Try: Say: "Label each exactly Local, State or Federal."
- Missing the correction. Your wrong note about licenses is still in the material. Try: Add: "Driver's licenses are State, per Ms. Brandt."
- Answers under each scenario. Seeing the answer right away means you never test yourself. Try: Add: "Put all answers at the end under 'Answers'."
What a strong prompt includes
