Mark errors in a Spanish paragraph without fixing them
Practice: Showing an example of what you want. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your Spanish 3 teacher marks writing with error codes and makes you fix the errors yourself. Get exactly 4 numbered lines, each quoting one wrong word or short phrase from your paragraph and giving its code (C, G or A) from her key, plain text. Don't give the corrected word or rewrite anything.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking it to check. The AI corrects every error and hands you a clean paragraph, which skips the part where you learn. Try: Say: "Don't correct anything. Just quote the error and give the code."
- Not giving the codes. Without your teacher's key, the AI explains each error in a long paragraph. Try: Add: "Use only the codes C, G or A from my teacher's key."
- Not saying how many lines. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more lines than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 4 numbered lines."
- Trusting the friend's app. The AI may agree that 'jugamos' is wrong if you hint at it. Try: Add: "Only mark real errors."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each line: "quote, dash, code, nothing else."
- Forgetting where it will be read. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols in your notes. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
