Predict three interview questions from a job posting
- For Job seekers
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Prepare for an interview. Get exactly 3 lines in the form 'Q: [question] Prepare: [note]' with each Prepare note under 10 words. Base the questions only on the REQUIRED qualifications in the posting, plain text, under 80 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using nice-to-haves. The AI asks about Spanish and children's events because they sound interesting. Try: Say: "Only the REQUIRED items."
- Writing the answers. The AI writes your answers for you instead of prep notes. Try: Say: "Prepare note under 10 words, no full answers."
- Loose shape. You get ten questions with tips and a pep talk. Try: Say: "Exactly 3 lines: Q: ... Prepare: ..."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each part: "each line under 12 words."
- Forgetting where it's going. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
What a strong prompt includes
- Says how many questions
- Gives the line shape
- Uses only required items
- Limits the prep note
- Keeps to the posting
