About this exercise
Get a single question to test yourself, not a quiz. Exactly 2 sentences: one question about this week's topic (week 5), then 'Type your answer and I will check it.' Under 35 words, plain text, and don't reveal or hint at the answer.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Getting a whole quiz. The AI writes 10 questions and an answer key. Try: Say: "One question only, exactly 2 sentences."
- Wrong week. The AI draws from the week 4 notes you've already been tested on. Try: Add: "About week 5 only."
- Leaking the answer. The AI adds a hint or the answer in parentheses. Try: Say: "Don't reveal or hint at the answer."
- No sentence limit. The AI keeps going until the idea feels complete. Try: Say: "At most 2 sentences."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each part: "each line under 12 words."
- Forgetting where it's going. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
What a strong prompt includes
