About this exercise

Your history test covers the start of World War I. Get exactly 4 numbered questions from your notes, then a line that says only 'Answers', then the 4 answers. Plain text, under 100 words, and use Mr. Okafor's date correction.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Answers next to questions. Seeing the answer right away means you never test yourself. Try: Add: "Put all answers at the end under a line that says Answers."
  • Missing the correction. Your wrong 1915 note is still in the material. Try: Add: "Use 1914, per Mr. Okafor's correction."
  • Going beyond the unit. The AI knows lots about WWI and adds Versailles or trenches. Try: Add: "Only use my notes. Nothing on the Treaty of Versailles."
  • Not saying how many questions. The AI picks its own number, and it usually writes more than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 4 numbered questions."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each part: "each line under 12 words."
  • Forgetting where it's going. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."

What a strong prompt includes

  • Says how many questions
  • Puts answers at the end
  • Uses the correction
