Split call notes into "We will" and "You will" commitments

About this exercise

Write the commitments section of a recap email in two labeled groups: "We will:" and "You will:", with exactly 2 bullets starting "-" under each (4 bullets in all). Each bullet has the action and a date. Include only firm commitments; leave out anything that was only a promise to ask or look into something. Plain text, under 70 words.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Including the ask-Product item. The AI lists "ask Product about the export fix" as a commitment. Try: Say: "Leave out anything that was only a promise to ask or look into."
  • Dropping dates. The AI writes actions without dates. Try: Say: "Each bullet has the action and a date."
  • Mixing the groups. The AI lists everything in one list. Try: Say: "Two groups: We will: and You will:, 2 bullets each."
  • Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
  • Leaving the bullet count open. The AI keeps adding bullets until every detail is covered. Try: Name the cap: "at most N bullets, nothing else".
  • Trusting the AI to count words. The AI runs long and cannot count its own words. Try: Cap each part ("each line under 12 words") and add "under N words in total".
