Pick the CEO's top two risks using documented triggers only
- For Executives
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write the weekly risk note for the CEO as exactly 3 lines. Lines 1 and 2: "Account - $ARR - trigger", for the two largest accounts that have a documented trigger. Line 3 starts "Ask:" and names one thing needed from the CEO for each of the two accounts. Gut feelings are not triggers. Plain text, under 60 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Listing the biggest account. The AI includes Alder because it has the largest ARR. Try: Say: "Gut feelings are not triggers; only documented triggers count."
- Vague ask. The AI asks for "support". Try: Say: "Ask: name one specific thing per account."
- Extra lines. The AI adds a paragraph about the others. Try: Say: "Exactly 3 lines."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. The AI runs long and cannot count its own words. Try: Cap each part ("each line under 12 words") and add "under N words in total".
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets the three lines
- Documented triggers only
- Line format
- Caps the length
- Asks for plain text
- Sets a word cap
