- For Customer success managers
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write the offboarding checklist for Fairmont Cycles: exactly 5 lines, each starting "- [ ]", then the date, the step and the owner in parentheses. Date order, soonest first. Leave out optional items and anything not tracked for this account. Plain text, nothing before or after.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Including optional or excluded steps. The AI lists every step in the plan. Try: Say: "Leave out optional items and anything not tracked for this account."
- Missing owners. The AI writes steps with no owner. Try: Say: "Put the owner in parentheses on each line."
- Wrong order. The AI keeps the plan order, which has the survey in the middle. Try: Say: "Date order, soonest first."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Leaving the bullet count open. The AI keeps adding bullets until every detail is covered. Try: Name the cap: "at most N bullets, nothing else".
