About this exercise

Build a plain-text table with the header row exactly "Team | Licenses | Active people | Unused | Unused %" and one row per team, sorted by Unused % from highest to lowest. Service accounts are not people, so remove them from the active count. Round Unused % to a whole number. After the table add one line starting "Reclaim:" naming the teams at 40% unused or more (40% counts). Plain text, no other words.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Counting service accounts as people. The AI uses the login count as given and misses the integration accounts. Try: Say: "Remove service accounts from the active count."
  • Dropping the 40% boundary. The AI reads "40% or more" as "over 40%" and leaves out Support. Try: Say: "40% counts; include teams at exactly 40%."
  • Wrong header or sort. The AI sorts by team name or renames the columns. Try: Say: "Header exactly ...; sort by Unused % high to low."
  • Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
  • Trusting the AI to count words. The AI runs long and cannot count its own words. Try: Cap each part ("each line under 12 words") and add "under N words in total".
