Report the week's renewals to the CRO in three bullets

About this exercise

Write Jules's update as exactly 3 bullets starting with "-": "Signed:", "Lost:" and "Still open:", each with a count and the total ARR in dollars. Only a signed contract counts as renewed; a verbal yes is still open. Plain text, under 55 words.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Counting the verbal yes as signed. The AI sees "very likely" and adds Dune. Try: Say: "Only signed contracts count; a verbal yes is still open."
  • Adding a forecast. The AI says Dune will probably sign Friday. Try: Say: "No predictions, only what has happened."
  • Missing counts or totals. The AI lists names instead of totals. Try: Say: "Each bullet has a count and total ARR in dollars."
  • Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
  • Leaving the bullet count open. The AI keeps adding bullets until every detail is covered. Try: Name the cap: "at most N bullets, nothing else".
  • Trusting the AI to count words. The AI runs long and cannot count its own words. Try: Cap each part ("each line under 12 words") and add "under N words in total".
