About this exercise

Your CMO's rule: pause any channel whose cost per new customer (CAC) is above $250. Write one line per channel in the form 'Channel: $spend / customers = $CAC - Keep or Pause', four lines in all, then a final line 'Recommendation:' naming the channels to pause. Use corrected spend, plain text, under 100 words.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Using raw Events spend. The AI divides $15,000 and wrongly pauses Events. Try: Add: "Events spend is $6,000 after the refunded deposit."
  • Skipping the math. The AI states Keep or Pause with no division shown. Try: Add: "Write each line like Search: $12,000 / 60 = $200 - Keep."
  • Pausing on reach or hunches. The AI pauses channels for brand or email reasons not in the rule. Try: Add: "Pause only if CAC is above $250. Recommendation line names Social only if it fails."
  • Leaving the format to chance. The AI picks its own length and layout unless told the exact shape. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold or headings."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example "each line under 15 words."
