About this exercise
An AI summarized last quarter's sales by region and you need to check its four claims. Write exactly 4 plain-text lines starting 'Claim 1:' to 'Claim 4:', then Confirmed, Wrong or Not on page, then a reason with the numbers, each reason under 15 words, under 90 words in all. Use only the table.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Guessing about last year. The AI calls Claim 3 true or false with no prior-year data. Try: Add: "If the table can't answer it, write Not on page."
- Not checking the top region. The AI repeats that West was top. Try: Add: "Compare the numbers: East 52,000 vs West 48,000."
- Skipping the arithmetic. The AI says the total 'looks right' without adding. Try: Add: "Show the arithmetic for any percent or total."
- Leaving the format to chance. The AI picks its own length and layout unless told the exact shape. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold or headings."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example "each line under 15 words."
