Summarize a campaign post-mortem for the CEO with one decision
- For Executives
- You practice Saying who it's for
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Your CEO, Farah, reads post-mortems on her phone. Write a prompt for exactly three plain-text lines labeled "What worked:", "What didn't:" and "Decision needed:", each under 22 words. The decision must be exactly one choice with a deadline, and the lines may use only numbers from the notes. No greeting, intro or sign-off.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Offering several decisions. The AI lists the video and redesign as decisions. Try: Say: "Decision needed is exactly one choice with its deadline."
- Ignoring the tracking gap. The AI treats social numbers as exact. Try: Say: "Note the tracking gap when citing social numbers."
- Too long for a phone. The AI writes a full report. Try: Say: "Three lines, each under 22 words."
- Letting markdown through. AI adds bold text and headings by default. Try: Add: "Plain text only, no bold, no headings."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the reader
- Gives the three labels
- Requires one decision with deadline
- Mentions the data caveat
- Caps length
