- For Marketing and content
- You practice Catching mistakes and made-up facts
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Before a rebrand, you're checking six proof claims for Atlas Scheduler. Write a prompt for a markdown table with columns Claim | Source | Usable? where Usable? is Yes only if the source is a dated internal system count or a written customer approval, and No otherwise. End with a line starting "Usable:" like "Usable: 3 of 6". Copy claims and sources exactly. Under 140 words, no other text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Trusting the review site. The AI treats 4.8 stars as proof. Try: Say: "Yes only for a dated internal count or written customer approval."
- Rewriting claims. The AI softens claims it dislikes. Try: Say: "Copy claims and sources exactly."
- Judging how good a claim sounds. The AI approves the uptime claim only because it sounds precise. Try: Say: "Decide only by the source type."
- Letting markdown through. AI adds bold text and headings by default. Try: Add: "Plain text only, no bold, no headings."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and often runs past a word limit. Try: Cap each part (for example "each line under 15 words") so the total lands well under the limit.
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the table columns
- Defines Yes
- Copies claims exactly
- Gives the count line
- Caps length
