Write one feature announcement for two segments with different facts
- For Marketing and content

- Time about 5 minutes

About this exercise
You're announcing Scheduled Exports for Dashkit. Write a prompt for two emails, one headed "FOR PRO CUSTOMERS:" and one headed "FOR TRIAL USERS:", each under 45 words including a one-line subject and one call to action. The Pro one must not mention price or upgrading; the trial one mentions the Pro price of $39 a month once. Plain text, no other text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Selling to people who already own it. The AI adds an upgrade pitch to the Pro email. Try: Say: "The Pro email must not mention price or upgrading."
- Mentioning planned features. The AI hints at hourly schedules or Slack. Try: Say: "Only what shipped."
- One email for both. The AI writes a single email with two paragraphs. Try: Name the two headings and the two calls to action.
- Letting markdown through. AI adds bold text and headings by default. Try: Add: "Plain text only, no bold, no headings."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and often runs past a word limit. Try: Cap each part (for example "each line under 15 words") so the total lands well under the limit.
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the two headings
- Pins the call-to-action texts
- Handles price correctly
- Bans planned features
- Caps length
