Write a 30-second host talk track that promotes the next webinar
- For Marketing and content
- You practice Saying who it's for
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
You host the monthly Harbor Marketing webinar. Write a prompt for a spoken talk track the host reads at the end of this month's session to promote next month's. It must be under 70 words, plain text with no headings, name the topic, the date with the time zone, and say the link will be in the chat, with no 'limited seats' or other scarcity language since the webinar has no cap.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old date. The AI picks up December 3 from the old notes. Try: Add: "The date is Dec 10, the older Dec 3 date is wrong."
- Reading out a URL. A spoken script with a link is awkward. Try: Say: "Say the link will be in the chat; don't read the URL."
- Adding scarcity. Promo copy defaults to 'limited seats'. Try: Say: "Capacity is unlimited; no scarcity language."
- Letting markdown through. AI adds bold text and headings by default. Try: Add: "Plain text only, no bold, no headings."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and often runs past a word limit. Try: Cap each part (for example "each line under 15 words") so the total lands well under the limit.
What a strong prompt includes
- Says it is spoken
- Pins the date and zone
- Handles the link
- Bans scarcity
- Sets the length
