Compare buying 900 units against a price break at 1,000

About this exercise
Write a prompt for plain text with exactly four lines: "Buy 900:", "Buy 1,000:", "Cheaper:" and "Check:". Show quantity x price for each. The price tier applies to the whole order. The Check line names what the buyer should confirm before ordering extra units, and says the buyer decides. Under 80 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Pricing incrementally. The AI prices the first 499 at $3.00 and the rest at the break. Try: Say: "The tier price applies to every unit in the order."
- Declaring a winner without checks. The AI says to order 1,000. Try: Say: "Check: what the buyer confirms, and that the buyer decides."
- Wrong lines. The AI writes a table. Try: Quote the four labels.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold, headings and bullets by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Quotes the four labels
- Applies the tier to all units
- Shows the math
- Leaves the decision
- Asks for plain text
