About this exercise
A chatbot answered your Biology question. Get a markdown table with columns Claim, Verdict and Textbook line: one row for each of its 5 claims. Verdict is exactly Supported, Contradicted or Not covered, judged only by your excerpt. Plain text otherwise, under 150 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using what the AI knows. Claim 4 is true in real life but not in your chapter, so it must be Not covered. Try: Say: "Judge only by the excerpt. If it's not there, Not covered."
- Not giving exact verdicts. Without fixed words you get true/false and long explanations. Try: Say: "Verdict exactly Supported, Contradicted or Not covered."
- No evidence column. You can't trust a verdict you can't trace. Try: Add: "A Textbook line column quoting the excerpt, or none."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each part: "each line under 12 words."
- Forgetting where it's going. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
What a strong prompt includes
