About this exercise
List exactly five open questions for counsel from the agreement extract. Numbered 1-5 in section order. Each starts with the section number like "Section 3.2:", ends with a question mark and is under 25 words. Sections 8.2 and 9.1 are clear, so skip them. Cover the unclear wording on fees, renewal, early termination, data incidents and subcontractors. Do not answer the questions, and do not say what the law requires.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking about clear clauses. The AI pads the list with confidentiality or the 12-month cap. Try: Say: "Only unclear or missing wording, not clear clauses."
- Answering instead of asking. The AI explains the risk or what the law requires. Try: Say: "Questions only; do not answer or state what the law requires."
- Loose numbering. The AI writes a longer list or unnumbered paragraphs. Try: Say: "Exactly five, numbered 1-5."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Try: Say: "Each question under 22 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Exactly five
- Section cited first
- Questions only
- Unclear wording only
