About this exercise
Make a markdown table with the columns Phase, Budget, Billed, Difference, Percent, one row per phase in order. Show the math in the Difference cell (for example "$52,200 - $45,000 = +$7,200") and the percent as a whole number of the budget. After the table add one last line exactly in the form: Flagged for GC review: names. Flag only phases more than 10% over budget; exactly 10% is not flagged. Nothing else.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Exactly 10% flagged. The AI flags Pleadings. Try: Say: "Flag only more than 10% over; exactly 10% is not flagged."
- Math wrong or hidden. The AI gives percents without working. Try: Say: "Show the math in the Difference cell."
- Explanation echoed. The AI adds the firm's reason or its own opinion. Try: Say: "No commentary beyond the table and last line."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
